Mole: Monty

It is very rare we see moles come through our doors. People just don't see these mysterious little creatures - the only tell tale signs are their

famous mole hills. This little fella was found in someones garden, wandering around aimlessly. He came in with blood coming out from his nose and we think that this may have been due to poisons left out for them. Such a shame as they are really quite beautiful! Although, very, VERY grumpy!

We aren't sure what type of poison was used - whether it was aimed specifically for moles or for another species. He isn't eating but we are going to try all we can to pull him through.

OUTCOME:

Unfortunately, Little Monty didn't make it through the night. The poisons had obviously already damaged his organs and his body had begun to shut down. Even though we had administered antibiotics and kept him warm, it just was not enough to pull him through.
