Surrey County Council support our wildlife

We had two lovely girls from Surrey County Council - Georgia & Ellie - come in to do a volunteering day here in the rescue. They had travelled all the way from Kingston to get stuck in to helping wildlife. The Surrey County Council allow 1 day per year for employees to carry out a charity volunteering day at their chosen charity.

Georgia and Ellie arrived early in the morning and got stuck in immediately, following a couple of our current volunteers. They spent their morning cleaning and feeding all the animals in our care and carrying out general rescue tasks. The lovely duo then spent the afternoon revamping one of our orphan rooms. They ripped up the carpets and flooring in preparation for our new floor which will  hopefully - be going in over the next month. Our cake Queen - Kirston - made an amazing, tasty and stunning cake as always.

Groups like this make a massive difference to us here at the rescue. We are so very grateful to the Surrey County Council for supporting charities like ours and to the magnificent 2 that came today and gave everything.
