Duck: Lola

This female Mallard came into us looking very sorry for herself! She was taken into a vets after being found near a busy road. The vets

gave her a once over before bringing her into us for the remainder of her rehabilitation. She came in with a very infected eye, it was so badly infected we weren't actually sure if the eye was still in tact. However, after a lengthy course of antibiotics and eye drops the eye has healed completely.

She also came in with a large puncture wound on her chest, which had already started to heal so was a relatively old wound. It just needed a little cleaning to ensure it did not become infected.

Lola is incredibly feisty and clearly is not impressed about being here with us.

OUTCOME:

Lola has now been successfully released! She was definitely ready to get out of the rescue and back to the wild. We wish her the best of luck!
