House Martin: Henry & Marvin

Henry and Marvin came in to us very underweight and lethargic. Henry is starting to eat really well and always chirps to let us know he wants some

food. However, Marvin is still settling in with us and currently is not as active as his sibling. He doesn't let us know when he is hungry, so at the moment we are feeding him every hour to make sure he is getting enough.

Each day they both get stronger and healthier. These two will, of course, be released together when the time is right. Hopefully, having a few more friends to make it an easier start in life.

Both Henry and Marvin were released once they had started to self feed and we had weaned them off having human contact. We managed to find someone who had quite a few nests in the garden, so there were lots of them still around. We set up a specialised release run there so they could come and go for a few weeks; having food left out for them in the run. They picked it up pretty quickly, and after just a few days they weren't coming back into the run for food or to sleep. They joined the group already living there, which is fantastic!
