Partridge: Pippy

This little one came in after she was found near a very busy road near Legoland. Pippy is a Red-Legged Partridge. The lovely lady that found

her, took her straight into a vets who gave her our number. She had a large open wound across her chest which needed stitching urgently before any infections set in.

We do not like putting birds under anaesthetic but she desperately needed it. Thankfully, she made it through the procedure and is now back on the road to release. She just needs some time to heal in peace and quiet before making her way back to the wild.

Pippy is in the final part of her release now! She has been staying in a smaller, outdoor run whilst her wound healed completely and she regained more of her strength. Now she is being moved to a larger pre-release run where she will stay for a week or so before going completely.

OUTCOME:

Pippy is being released this week! This is her enjoying the space in her larger outdoor run before she leaves us for good.
