Tawny Owl: Jane

This is our second Tawny Owl chick this year. This little one was spotted by the road when she should have still been in her nest with mum. She

was very cold, wet and in desperate need of food and TLC. The fantastic guys that found and looked after her did an amazing job and she is now safe and sound with us. They even went to their local reptile shop to pick her up some food too - well done!

She has already started to get her adult feathers through on her wings, so she does not need hand feeding and shouldn't be inside for too much longer.

Jane was released on site with our other Tawny Owls. They spend some time in our outside aviary prior to their final release and are still coming back for food which we have been leaving on top of the runs.
