Jenny Brett-Phare Art

The wonderful Jenny is one of our very own volunteers and is an incredibly artist too!

Not only is Jenny an amazing artist, she has support the rescue over the years by physically helping in the rescue, social media and also donating money raised from her art exhibitions.

Jenny can do commission work but also creates her own amazing pieces too.

From Jenny's website -

I am a self taught artist and my work is primarily figurative. I work predominantly, although not exclusively, in oil paint and constantly seek to convey a sense of subtle emotional connection.

My main influences are the traditional painters from the turn of the ninetieth century and in particular those of european nordic origin - reflecting to some extent my own roots - such as Zorn - Hammershoi - Kroyer.
I also use watercolour particularly with my landscape works.

My work is constantly evolving but there remains one constant - the subject's face....and to capture that elusive quality and the unique essence of a persons character - is at the very heart of my portrait work.

I am happy to take commissions, working from either 'sittings' or from photographs. The gallery has a selection of my recent work, but please contact me if you'd like to discuss commemorating a important event, a special person or particular image.
