Kestrel: Jude

We have a beautiful male Kestrel in our care. He was brought to us after being found on the ground by a member of the public who was

passing by. He is a little thin so we are monitoring him closely to make sure that there is nothing sinister going on.

We have also administered some antibiotics because he has a few cuts and grazes on his wings and torso. He is also in shock which can be fatal for any animal so we are keeping as far away from people as we can to allow him to heal in peace.

Sadly Jude didn't make it through his ordeal with us. We do not know what happened to him before he got to us, but he may have been clipped by a car or even poisoned. Because he had already gone into shock, the added stress of being picked up by humans and coming into the rescue with very different sights and smells, he just could not cope with it.
