Barn Owl: Murphy

Barn Owls are such beautiful birds and very secretive too. We rarely see them in the rescue. This young male was brought in by a lovely

gentleman after being found sitting on a main road. Thank goodness he found him when did; we dread to think what the outcome would have been had he not picked him up.

We have named him Murphy. He was very cold and wobbly when he first arrived - nothing a bit of food and heat couldn't fix though!

Murphy's recovery is slower than we had initially hoped for but he is gaining weight and becoming a bit happier in himself. We are hoping over the next week we will be able to take him back to the area he was found so we can set him free!
