Rabbit: Poppy

Who can resist a beautiful baby bunny...and just in time for Easter! This is little Poppy; she was unfortunately caught by a stealthy

cat who was stalking her in the garden. Thankfully, the cats lovely owner managed to wrestle Poppy off the cat before any real damage was caused to her and she is now safe and sound with us.

She has a couple of cuts but is otherwise fine - we have administered antibiotics to prevent any infections from setting in. She is terrified - normal for rabbits - so we have cornered off an area to minimise human contact and let her get over the shock of her ordeal.

Poppy was successfully released into a suitable release site near to us. There are lots of rabbits already living there so she will be able to find some much needed friends.
