Sparrowhawk: Davina

Davina the Sparrowhawk came in this week. She initially came in as Dave, but after seeing she was a little girl, we wanted to rename her!

We think she was clipped by a car as she had been sitting by the side of the main road for the majority of the day. Some lovely people went to scoop her up and bring her into us.

She has a sore eye and some scuffs to the back of her head which we are giving her medication for to make sure it is nothing sinister.

She still has some energy in her - she managed to get her talons stuck into one of our hands whilst we were giving her the initial check over! Nothing we won't forgive of course.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that she pulls through!

Davina made a swift recovery and we were able to release her! She wasn't with us for too long as she came round fairly quickly. Her eye was back to normal, she was flying, eating and definitely ready to go. Video below.
