Crow: Cindy

This is young Cindy; our newest Corvid to the rescue. She was found by a lovely couple whilst they were out on a run. She was on the

floor and couldn't fly enough to get anywhere higher up and more protected. She is very, very skinny but otherwise in good spirits.

As a typical corvid, her appetite has not been affected by her predicament so she will hopefully begin to put on weight. We cannot see anything wrong with her wings, which is brilliant, so are hoping that she just needs some time to rest and eat before she can be released.

Cindy is still here with us and is looking much better. Because she was so underweight and was lacking many vital nutrients and minerals, she had begun to lose a lot of her feathers.

We immediately put her onto a strict supplemented diet to prevent any further feather loss and promote regrowth and healing. She is now looking ten times better than before, and we are hoping she will be ready for an outdoor run soon.

After spending some time in our outdoor run to allow Cindy to get used the area and also to build up muscle after spending a long time in our indoor run, she was successfully released back into the wild.
